Work in the future will experience major transformations in terms of numerous labor institutions and conditions. These changes include working time, with the four-day work week and the flextime and flexplace models. Flex models refer to flexible ways of ordering work time and location so that workers can change their hours to attend to specific needs and better organize their personal and family lives with their work duties.
We have organized the Innovative flexible working time arrangements and the future of work international seminar around this subject. For the first time, discussions will be held regarding the pilot experiences underway in Spain and other EU countries (France, the Netherlands, Finland, Ireland, and Hungary) and their impact on improving worker conditions and company results.
Experts will complement the analysis from distinct perspectives (economic and occupational health), addressing a variety of action levels (European and national). Furthermore, the status of the Spanish labor reform with respect to the reduction of working hours will be discussed.
The seminar will be held on 15 November (morning schedule) at the Madrid-Puerta de Toledo campus of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. This activity is part of the INNOVAWORKING European project (Innovative and flexible approaches to working time, no. 101126491) coordinated by the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
